Chaz Hutton is a man of many talents - he's a designer, illustrator, writer, and comedian. He recently decided to put ChatGPT to the test by challenging it to come up with some funny comic ideas, which he then brought to life with his drawing skills.
Let's take a look at the steps he followed:
Input Prompt: Create a funny single panel comic
However, he wanted to see what else the ChatGPT could come up with, so he asked for another comic idea based on the same request.
He decided to give it more details to make it come up with a more interesting scene. He asked it to follow New Yorker style and added dogs in the description.
Input Prompt: Create a single panel comic in the style of the new yorker that involves dogs and is funny
He wanted to make it funnier. So he added more vivid details. Such as, dog walking in the park. Make a joke about art. And it is both cynical and funny.
Input Prompt: Create a single panel comic in the style of the new yorker, that is both funny and cynical, involves a dog being walked in a park and makes a joke about art
He wanted to explore more variations. And, asked ChatGPT to generate another one.
Input Prompt: Try another one please
Finally, he took this description and converted it into the comic panel as shown below. As an artist, he felt that he should make the illustration himself rather than using AI Art which builds on creativity of artists but doesn't necessarily acknowledge their creativity.
In a nutshell, ChatGPT's attempts were a bit hit and miss, but Chaz wasn't deterred. He kept giving the bot more specific prompts, and soon enough, the results started to get funnier and funnier!
